This is probably a very unrealistic thought. I am posting it in case any ambitious engineers might want to give it a go. Some gyms in California store kinetic energy that is produced when people run on machines or when they lift weights. The energy is then converted into electricity and is re-used or sold. What if the shoes we wear could also store the kinetic energy we produce when we walk or run? We could then convert it into electricity, re-use it at home or sell it

How do you feel with ever increasing capabilities of online map technology? My friend showed me this new maps system by Microsoft called maps.live.com where you can get a bird's eye view of many cities. Great!! now everybody that knows your address can look it up and see in what place you live, how large is your house, where you park the car and all other things they are curious about. Maybe thieves can use it to plan their next robbery and way out. What's your opinion? Are you against or for increasing map technology capabilities? Can you tell where this picture is from?

wear cool clothes underneath, I'd like companies to make hats and caps and extra thin t-shirts, undershirts, vests, pants or socks made from material that you don't have to wet and that can be stored in your fridge or freezer, worn underneath and keep you cool when you go out in the heat.

Anything that's posted online may be available long after you've deleted it from the original source. That's because search engines and other web crawlers move around the internet indexing websites and making copies. Some sites reprocess online content without your knowing about it. So just because you delete something, it may still be available on the internet somewhere. A software that tracks your postings and deletes not just the original but all copies of it on the web would be very useful. You never know when you might post something you want to delete later.

I have the Nokia E71 cell, the guy who sold it to me told me it has everything I need. I'm generally happy with it but I noticed most super phones these days don't come with what I think is a very handy function. I'm surprised designers have totally missed it. When I want to change my profile to mute I have to go through the menu. An external mute button on the side that does the same thing or a shortcut press of existing keys is what's really missing from my cell. When I forget to set it at mute, a call comes in and rings loud. I must either answer, let ring or hang up. With the use of an external button I want to instantly change the ringing tone to mute without going through the menu. It's so easy to make.

It would be nice if the major free email services (gmail, yahoo, hotmail) would let you schedule email sending. Setting reminders in the calendar is ok but I think it's better to be able to draft an email, set it and then forget about it. Don't just remind me it's my mother's birthday, send her an email and let me be reminded about it when she replies back to say thank you. Thank you :)

One-way missions mean the astronauts will die in space or in another planet. One-way trips will save a lot of money. When people were exploring the Earth hundreds of years ago, they never expected they might return. Do you have moral objections to supporting one-way trips to space if the astronauts agree to die in space and are ok with never returning back to Earth?

could google count all the instances each individual letter appears on the web and then rank them by most use? i had this strange thought that if an article is written with words that make more use of the most popular letter people will probably read it faster. if such assumption holds true then a new software algorithm can be made to suggest edits on long texts for faster reading.

Don't get too greedy fellow cyber pirates! if you download too many "bites" your protection might break and a new virus will be conceived inside your laptop...whoever thought this has a nice sense of humor for sure. if he didn't have it, it means he has either no idea about computers or never seen a condom before but it can't be both otherwise he wouldn't have made the connection :) (read more)
