I see a useful application for e-paper. Large choirs and orchestras follow music scores written on paper. They have to turn pages manually which makes noise. I think the music score should be 1 page made with e-paper. The text should scroll automatically and follow the music. Not only concert hall construction but everything in a concert hall should be designed with the purpose of eliminating any noise that is not musical. Maybe this idea could be a good way to eliminate noises from turning the pages on a paper music score.

Don't you think April 1st should be the day when companies introduce new or existing products in the most crazy, weird and silly way possible? I'm thinking of marketing that makes you go, what the..?? Toilet paper packaging, for instance, is boring and unimaginative. So imagine a company that stocks the shelves on April Fool's day with packages containing three rolls of paper each, one roll for the morning, one for the day and one for the night. Each roll is infused with a different scent. The morning one is coffee to give your bum a wake up. The day one is guarana to give your bum the power and energy it needs to get through the day. And the night one smells like chamomile to soothe your bum's nostrils before you wipe it goodnight. Now imagine yourself in the supermarket standing in front of the toilet paper section...

for those who have ever used those reversible belts they already know how useful it is. You pay for one belt but it's as if you have two of them.
What if they could make the same for the shoes. I saw today a nice pair of shoes and I was between black and brown. If there was a color trick like that one with the reversible belt my life would have been much easier. You buy one pair of shoes and you just reverse it to the color you want to put on. what about having your ears cleaned while you listen to music? weird, no? I don't know if the product exists but cleaning the ear must make absolutely no noise to distract you from the music. it can sell like any other silly gadget that's in the market. and hey you never now how helpful it can be. for example if someone's ears are too dirty he might hear the music better after they're cleaned. if that's not possible it'll be fun to promote it like that anyway :D:D:D

Before you vote on my poll, consider this. This is hypothetical but imagine you really wanted a nude painting of yourself or your girlfriend. Instead of having 1 artist to paint, artists from all over the world could compete for the commission. Then you can choose the painting you like the best and the artists who lost the commission can put the paintings up for sale earning you extra commission fees which will pay up for the cost of the painting who won your heart. Who said there's no such thing in life as a free lunch?

Even though this is not a million dollar idea, I don't understand why this simple trick isn't more widely used: I was eating at a friend's place and he had these chopsticks with little cuts at the end. The result? A grip that is 10x better, even catching peas was a piece of cake. Here is a little drawing.

"A passion for music is a confession. We know more about an unknown but musical person than about an unmusical person with whom we spend all our days." (E.M. Cioran)
I have always been intrigued by this quote from Cioran, a Romanian born 'philosopher' who went to live in Paris in the 1950's and switched to french as his language of expression. (read more)

These ads are brilliant. They were made for the Beijing Olympics and became popular in China. Do you think that maybe it was enhanced sexual excitement that made the Chinese score the most gold medals? :)
